Zakk's hosted a late night radio show in Louisville, afternoons in Memphis (while penning a hit parody "Topless in Memphis") and a morning show that took on extremists to save rock concerts for Greenville, SC. The successful battle was partnered with Sharon Osbourne and is seen in the Black Sabbath documentary, "We Sold Our Souls for Rock 'n Roll" but still there were lots of clean women and dirty jokes, so "the south did rise again". At the KSJO Network (San Francisco-San Jose-Monterey, CA and syndicated to affiliates in Nashville, TN and Greenville, SC) the show earned "Best Rock Personality/Radio Show” at the 2004 Radio & Records Industry Awards. In Chicago, Zakk hosted the pre-game show "Bears Tailgate Talk", was a regular guest on CLTV "Sports Page" while his drive time radio program on WLUP ("The Loop") rose to #1 among adult males in less than one year (and departed as afternoon’s top ranked FM show among English-speaking males). Zakk with “Sweet Baby Jane" Monzures (more at www.jem-stone.com) hosted the Zakk Tyler Morning Show in Atlanta and he was also heard as the NFL pregame and postgame host for the 2008 Atlanta Falcons on flagship station WZGC-FM and throughout the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network.
